Daphne’s

Daphne's Barbados

❤❤❤❤🖤 | $$$$$

Let’s not beat around the bush, Daphne’s of London is an Italian restaurant and so is Daphne’s of Barbados. The Tagliata is a Tuna Tagliata reflecting on the fact that if there is one thing a restaurant can do well in Barbados, it’s using what they have and making magic with it. Daphne’s may have inadvertantly become a spot for cravings because you’ll be hard-fetched to discover Zucchini Fritti anywhere else or even find yourself some really simple but really good grilled vegetables. You know how to spot a top-end Italian restaurant when the menu has meats and fish pushing pastas and pizzas off the page.

Don’t miss the Roasted Pumpkin and Amaretti Ravioli, the brown butter and sage sauce is phenomenal. The markup on wines is very respectable and you can find some brilliant French vintages amongst the barrage of Italian variety well worth trying.

Rocks: An excellent menu that doesn’t ignore that it’s in Barbados
Knocks: Better out of season when there are less tourists
