Mama Mia is the Italian restaurant that reminds you that you’re never too far from home. The pizzas are good, the pasta is good and the desserts are all good too. It does what it says on the tin and you can’t go wrong but there are days when you’ll get a pizza that is inexplicably better than others.
It’s harder than you think to find an actually good pizza in Barbados but Mama Mia is definitely high up on the list. It was decorated in a way that makes us think they want to show every element of Italy at the same time so that even the cutlery knows it’s in an Italian restaurant. The Gelato is a rarity on this rock so go crazy trying all their flavours. If you like Coconut you will not be disappointed.
On Monday nights they have a surprise menu to re-enact what it’s like going to someone’s house for dinner… Except you don’t get an invitation… And you only find out what you’re eating when you get there. You call and book. Imagine calling friends up and booking dinner at their house. Brilliant.
