Juju’s

Ju Ju’s is one of the most popular beaches on the west coast and the fish is excellent. We joke about how you could be eating any fish because the seasoning is always the same and it’s always perfect. It’s covered in spices and onions, has a punchy kick to it and comes with hand cut, home fried fries and a salad that isn’t macaroni. The fish that you don’t generally find elsewhere are lionfish and barracuda… And shark. It’s such a good beach with a brilliant supply of alcohol and a mix of locals and tourists. They must have tunnels to contain all of the bottles they serve all day long – it’s impossible that the tiny hut serves everything it does.

The drinks were good and the Pina Coladas fresh. They had a healthy selection of rosés which were always kept cool and that meant we had an excellent day. The water was perfect and the crowd is always varied. We arrived on a day where a boat of drunken English girls pulled-up for the lead role to throw the anchor overboard. Unfortunately for the hull, the chain wasn’t loosened yet. Classic.
